What's In Your Backpack?

Recalling a pack one of his fellow Scouts lugged up the steep trail to Lake Blanche, John Bytheway says, “He had things in his pack that were too heavy, that he didn’t need, that weighed him down, and that made the hike a lot harder than it needed to be.”

That’s the way it is in life, too. Many of us carry around things that make the journey harder than it needs to be; things such as a poor selfimage, a tendency to feel sorry for ourselves, or bad habits. In this entertaining and inspiring presentation, John Bytheway suggests we get rid of the extra weight, so we’ll have room to carry the things we really need; a capacity to love, a desire to serve, and the energy to make a difference in someone else’s life.
